Quran Identifier

PILLAR · ONE-TAP AUDIO ID

The Shazam built for the Quran.

Shazam can name a pop song in three seconds. It can't tell Al-Afasy from Al-Sudais, or Al-Fatiha from Al-Baqarah. Quran Identifier is the missing one: a single tap, a few seconds of audio, and you have the reciter, the Surah, and the exact ayah — before the next sentence is finished.

Up to 18 seconds · ~94% accuracy on clear recordings · 200+ qaris

3-second first match

First candidate returns inside three seconds on a normal 4G connection — keep holding for 8–12s to lock in the ayah.

Source-agnostic

Live recitation, TikTok playback, a Reels clip, Quran radio in the car, a saved voice note — anything your mic can hear, we can identify.

Reciter + Surah + ayah, every time

Most tools stop at the qari. We hand you the verse range and the Arabic text, ready to paste into a caption or DM.

Confidence and runners-up

Every result ships a 0–100 confidence and the two next-best reciters, so you can sanity-check rather than guess.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tap once

No menu diving, no account, no upload screen. The mic is the first thing you see.

  2. Step 2

Hold near the audio for ~10s

Phone speaker, masjid PA, a friend's TikTok — get the mic within arm's length of the source.

  3. Step 3

    Read the match

Qari, Surah, ayah range, and Arabic text appear together with a confidence score.

Use cases

  • Name the qari you just heard at Tarawih before the rakʿah ends
  • Caption a Reels or TikTok clip with the reciter and ayah in seconds
  • Identify Quran radio while you're driving without typing a thing
  • Settle a group-chat debate about who recited which Surah
  • Credit recitations correctly in YouTube uploads and Friday-night livestreams

Frequently asked

Is there really a Shazam for the Quran?

Yes — and you're on it. Quran Identifier listens to any recitation and returns the qari, Surah, and exact ayah in 3–10 seconds. No app install, no signup for the first scan.

Why doesn't the actual Shazam work for Quran?

Shazam fingerprints commercial recordings — same producer, same master. The Quran has thousands of qaris reciting the same ayahs at different speeds, in different masajid, with different mics. A music fingerprint can't match across all that. Our model was trained specifically for it.

Can I identify a recitation from a TikTok, Reel, or YouTube clip?

Yes. Play the clip out loud and tap the mic — we listen through your device. File and URL upload are on the roadmap for credit-pack holders.

Does it work live, while the imam is reciting?

Yes. Get within ~3m of a speaker, tap before the ayah starts, and the first match usually arrives before the imam finishes the verse.

How short can the clip be?

8–12 seconds is the sweet spot. Famous openings (Al-Fatiha, Al-Ikhlas) can match on 3–4 seconds; obscure middle ayahs need closer to 18.

Is it free?

Yes — one free scan per day, forever. Credit packs from $5 unlock unlimited scans for 365 days. No subscription.
