Our mission

RecitID exists to make the Quran easier to study, regardless of what language you read or what reciter you grew up listening to. We build narrow, focused tools — not a religious authority.
Why this exists
Most people who want to study the Quran hit the same friction: they hear a beautiful recitation, they cannot place the surah, and there is no fast way to look it up. RecitID closes that gap in two seconds.
Who it's for
Anyone studying the Quran — from a new Muslim memorizing their first juz to a teacher building a lesson plan to a translator cross-referencing tafsir. We do not assume Arabic literacy.
Our principles
- Textual integrity over feature velocity.
- Plain attribution for every scholarly source.
- Privacy by default — your audio is processed and discarded.
- Build tools, not opinions.
Independent and self-funded
RecitID is funded entirely by Pro subscriptions. We have no investors, no advertisers, and no organizational affiliation. This is intentional — it lets us stay strict about textual integrity without commercial pressure.
Frequently asked
Are you affiliated with a mosque, university, or organization?
No. RecitID is independent and self-funded by Pro subscriptions. We cite scholars and tafsir works extensively, but we are not an authority and do not represent any institution.
How do you make money?
Pro subscriptions only. There are no ads, no investor pressure, and no data sales. The free tier is funded by Pro users.
